Common questions

Does my data sync between devices?
Not in the free version. Everything is stored on the device where you installed BuildBench. Cloud sync is coming as a future paid feature — join the early-access list in the app's Settings to be notified when it's available.

I uninstalled the app. Where did my data go?
Because the free version stores everything locally, uninstalling removes the database and all attached media. There is no cloud copy. We recommend exporting media you want to keep before uninstalling.

I got a new phone. How do I move my BuildBench data?
The free version does not yet support migration. Cloud sync (coming soon) will solve this.

Can I export my builds?
PDF Build Book export is on the roadmap as a future paid feature.

How do I delete a vehicle?
Long-press the vehicle card on the Garage screen. A confirmation will appear. Deleting a vehicle removes all of its parts, costs, journal entries, and media — this cannot be undone.
